Partnering with families to help children know Jesus, follow Jesus, and make much of Jesus in all that they do!

At Edgewood, our Children’s Ministry is a place where kids are welcomed, cared for, and taught about God’s love in age-appropriate and engaging ways. We believe children learn best in an environment where they feel safe, known, and encouraged, and we strive to create that kind of space each week.

Our goal is to help children grow in their understanding of who God is, how much He loves them, and how faith connects to everyday life. Through Bible teaching, music, activities, and meaningful relationships with caring volunteers, children are invited to learn, ask questions, and grow at their own pace.

We value partnership with parents and families and seek to support them as they nurture their children’s faith. Whether your child is attending for the first time or has been part of our church family for years, we want every child to feel welcomed and loved.

Sunday Mornings at Edgewood
  • Sunday School: 9:30–10:45am for all ages.
  • Children’s Church: K-5th graders join us in worship at 11am and exit for children's church prior to the start of the message. On the first Sunday of each month K-5th graders join us for all of our worship service, and the service includes a special children's sermon.
  • Nursery Services: Provided during the worship service for birth-preschool.
What to Expect

When you arrive at Edgewood our volunteers will greet you and help you navigate to our secure children's space. If it is your first time we will walk you through our check in process, and help your child find their class. All of our volunteers are committed to creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children of all ages and to teaching the gospel in a fun and age-appropriate way.

Classes and activities are designed to be structured in a way that helps children feel at ease while learning. Bible lessons are taught in ways children can understand, often using a mix of storytelling and hands-on activities. We strive to make each bible lesson both meaningful and relatable.

Parents are always welcome to ask questions, meet the volunteers who serve with their children, and take time to get oriented. Each week our volunteer team has the honor and responsibility of caring for your family. We take the safety, security, and the well-being of your children very seriously. Every volunteer in our kids space has been background checked and receives ongoing training to make sure that our kids space is not only fun, but also safe and secure

We understand that trusting others with your child is important, and we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with families as children grow in faith and confidence. We would love the opportunity to teach your children each Sunday. Of course, children are always welcome to join their family in the sanctuary for worship. We have special "Sermon Notes for Kids" sheets to help children try to stay engaged during the message that can be provided.
